Terms of Use

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Docentia (the "Service"), operated by Docentia AI LLC ("Docentia"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you use Docentia on behalf of a school, district, or other organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use Docentia

Student accounts are created or approved by an administrator, teacher, or district. Students under 13 may use Docentia only through a school or with a parent or guardian's consent. Teacher accounts are reviewed and approved before full access is granted. Adult learners may be enrolled in professional courses by an administrator.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and tell us promptly at info@docentia.ai if you believe your account has been used without permission. We may suspend accounts that are misused or appear compromised.

4. Acceptable use

Use Docentia only for lawful educational purposes. You agree not to: share accounts; attempt to access data that isn't yours; disrupt, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service; upload harmful, unlawful, or harassing content; misuse AI features to produce cheating material or inappropriate content; or copy and redistribute Docentia content outside your school or organization without permission.

5. Teacher and educator responsibilities

Teachers should use student information only to support instruction for students they are responsible for, follow their district's policies, and review AI-generated lessons, quizzes, and other materials before using them with students.

6. AI-generated content

Docentia uses AI to generate study guides, practice questions, feedback, and assistant responses. AI output may contain mistakes and is provided for learning support only. It is not a substitute for teacher judgment, and practice questions are original and are not official exam questions. Docentia is not affiliated with the College Board, TEA, FINRA, MSRB, NASAA, or other testing organizations.

7. Student data and privacy

We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy and Trust & Security page. For schools and districts, student records remain under the control of the school or district, and we use them only to provide the Service.

8. Content ownership

Docentia and its content, design, and software belong to Docentia and its licensors. You keep ownership of content you submit, such as writing responses, and grant us a limited license to store and process it to provide the Service. Teachers may use materials they generate in Docentia within their own classrooms.

9. Payments

Some programs require payment. Prices and terms are shown before purchase. Except where required by law or stated otherwise in a district agreement, fees are non-refundable.

10. Changes and termination

We may update the Service or these terms. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify users. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including any guarantee of particular test scores or outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Docentia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Where a signed agreement with a school or district exists, that agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms.
